Colombia is a magical country and having a Colombian visa does not come that easy. However, the best experience you ought to have before you die is to visit Colombia. By the way, do you know how to get your visas to visit one of the best countries in Latin America? If you decide to study, visit, work and live in Colombia, these are the things you need to know. Visiting Colombia If you are not coming from Latin America countries and you are not from countries which are allowed to just visit for 90 days without visa, then you need to pay attention to this information. If you hold a passport from some countries in Asia, Africa, Canada, Middle east and some European countries, you may not be able to stay in Colombia for more than 180 days and if you want, you may need to go out of Colombia for at least one day before coming back to Colombia. As mentioned earlier, your visa depends on the country you are coming from. According to our findings, Colombia pays attention to your family connection. Thus, they give priority to your family history in Colombia.

Based on the investigation and interview carried out, one of the officials at the Migración Colombia (part of the ministry of external affairs), Edna Montañez said that Migración Colombia had different function from "cancillería" which is in charge of visas, passports and other external affairs. Migración Colombia deals exclusively with immigrants in Colombia. Equally worth mentioning is that, Migración Colombia processes foreigner`s identification card. Edna Montañez also said that Migracion Colombia was and still is in charge of the renewal of temporary identification cards and residence identification cards which should be renewed at least 30 days before it expires. It should be mentioned that Colombia does not allow you to hold more than 2 nationalities if your intention is to become a productive Colombia citizen in the long run. Still talking about visiting Colombia, there is something you need to keep at the back of your mind if you want to visit Colombia. First, know that cancillería which is the major part of the ministry of external affairs is exclusively in charge of Colombia visas and it can be reached by checking out this webpage: www.cancilleria.gov.co You can also call 571386999 or 018000938000. Cancillería just a stone throws away from Migración Colombia in Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. Second, there are three types of Colombia visas. NE (Business) TP (Temporary 1-13) RE (Residence). In addition, there are 13 types of temporary visas in Colombia. For residence visa to be issued, you must have completed the required period of temporary visas.
What happens if you visa is denied? Your temporary visa (TP) can be denied because of reasons, which can be due to insufficient reasons for visiting Colombia. Also, your visa denial could be as a result of inability to prove your address of temporary residence in Colombia. If you are considered to likely pose a threat to the public in Colombia, you may be denied a visa. If that happens, you may need to reapply for a visa after 6 months. In conclusion, Colombia is one of the most fascinating and magical countries with warm people who have strong humanistic approaches to life. Whatever you want and whenever you want to visit Colombia; be it the plain of Meta (Villavicencio), coastal cities of Cartagena, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Barranquilla; mountainous regions of Tunja, Sogamoso, Duitama, Cúcuta, Bucaramanga, El Peñón Medellin (city of eternal spring), Armenia, Salento, Pereira, Salsa city of Cali, Lago Calima, Valle de Cauca, Leticia, Amazonas and the magnificent capital city of Bogotá, just open your heart forvery enriching cultures and diverse weather of this beautiful land called Colombia. Pick up your passport, the required visa if needed and live your once in a lifetime experience in an awesome and wonderful Colombia.

It's not hard to find fruits and vegetables here on the Milla de Oro. There are many mercados that sell everything you need to make an excellent dinner. All the greens you could want to make a creamy steamed vegetable dish and if you want to sauté vegetables there are plenty to choose from. You have your choice of fresh from the garden carrots, zucchini, squash, onions and of course you can make almost anything you like with all the variety of potatoes that are available. It's hard not to have lunch or dinner without a generous side of vegetables to accompany your meal. Just like a meal is supposed to be. This gives you all the fiber you need to be healthy and the vegetables are packed with vitamins to give you better muscle health and brain functioning. It helps keep your body sturdy and your energy level at a maintained level throughout the day. Like most people in the towns, many people cook at home even with the low cost of lunch. It's still less expensive to go to the super market and buy your fruits and vegetables than it is to eat out everyday. With the price of meat being modest, not too terribly expensive, your meal is a real added value when you cook yourself. The best thing to go along with any meal is a juice. And, Colombia is packed with fruits for juices. One of the main things foreigners do when they come here is very quickly learn the names of all the fruits. This is because in all the restaurants they ask you what kind of juice you want with your meal and there is usually a selection of two or three. To know what best goes with your meal you have to know what fruits taste like and what they are called in order to make the right pairing. I myself am now a farmer in my own right. I have fruit trees right in my backyard and above are some pictures straight out of my garden. On the previous page the pictures are from a local store called Diana´s, which we find to have some of the best fruits and vegetables in the town. I'm most proud of my chili manzanos. It sounds kind of like manzana, which means apple; and I guess they kind of look like ripe red apples but are much spicier. I'm looking to get into the market with my own garden and sell to the community, hopefully.

BITCOINS 101
If you have not had such an innocent thought, you better start nursing the idea now that the price is surging, skyrocketing and heading for the moon. I suspect you may regret not having bitcoins in the foreseeable future. With all due respect, this is not a threat but a mere wake up call for you to invest in the ever blossoming and fast moving global crypto currencies "crypto asset" in which bitcoin is the most sought after by everybody. There are other crypto currencies or "crypto assets" such as bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, litecoin, ethereum among others but bitcoin is still the most valuable and most worthy of transaction.

Austin Fabumuyi is one of the more successful bitcoins traders in the Sabana of Bogotá.
Manage your financial future Indeed, you may call it Ponzi scheme or whatever you may want to call it but it is far from it. It is a decentralized banking system that is managed on your own mobile phone, computer and online. You can begin to wonder what is this world turning into. The fact is that you do not need anybody or bank to manage your financial fortune. The naked truth is that, the evolution of crypto currency has brought you the financial freedom to invest, trade, store and buy things you want anytime, anywhere without the bureaucracy and stress of traditional banking system. Believe you me, That may sound impossible but it is absolutely true. What can you buy with bitcoins? You can buy whatever you want at any time you want. “Crypto asset” is also a commodity, digital and it is also an alternative currency. There are 16.5 millions in circulation right now with a limit of 21 million. You can trade, buy and sell bitcoins just by opening account in blockchain, coinbase, mycelium, wirex, SurBtc, cryptopay and host of other wallets around the world. It should be mentioned that your choice of digital wallet depends on your location. You can buy clothes, food, properties and valuable things with bitcoins if you have them stored in your digital wallet such as wirex, blockchain, coinbase, zing and myllecium. You can trade in simplefx.com, localbitcoins.com, coinbase, blockchain etc.
How does bitcoin work?
Bitcoins work perfectly well by storing them in digital wallets mentioned above and trading (buying and selling). You do not need to be a rocket scientist to use bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies. All you need is to have your bitcoins transferred to your issued debit card or just pay by scanning the QR code of your wallet in order to pay in retail shops on the street, shopping mall or wholesale stores. Bitcoins can be accepted by shops or people who have digital wallets. It should be mentioned that there are some bitcoins machines /ATM in Bogota and Pereira where you can monetize your bitcoins too. Reasons to use bitcoins/ “crypto assests” The downward slope or static value of the US dollars, Chinese Yuan, gold, Japanese yen and other global currencies controlled by the central banks of different countries should worry you.Not just the loss of values of other currencies but also the financial crisis that may arise due to the "Ponzi scheme" originated from banks. The financial freedom to manage your own money without being harassed and monitored should be your motivation to invest in bitcoins. Thus, investing in bitcoins is the most secured ways of investing in your own financial stability and economy of your country. I know that you have your fears of not losing your investments /money. Come to think of it, everything has its own risk. Never allow those grasses to grow under your financial feet and financial freedom. Make your next move of having your own fraction of bitcoins or other crypto currencies "crypto assets" today because it may be too late later. By so doing, you are putting your money where your mouth is and your financial freedom is right in your hands.

Spanish translation: Arquitectura
How did the Spanish live? They came to the Americas for gold, copper, and other metals. During their first conquests, copper was in such abundance that there were literally trees of copper that were cut down from the ancient time of times and gold was growing like upside down carrots from the ground. When they arrived in the Sabana they organized their homes and living environments like the Indians. Building their houses with natural materials and designating areas that were suitable for building, giving permits to all those of various races. Then came urbanism and planning of zones or regions.Roads and farms, gave rise to Bogotá.More roads were constructed and houses for large families became the norm. This increased the level of living for the inhabitants. In the 1850’s, the Spanish crown came to claim territory. They were intrigued by the Spanish conquistadors who had set up living arrangements and the wealth they had accumulated in the farms where they had nearly 20 Indians who worked the land for them. The houses on the farms also had two patios. The first patio was utilized by the affluent. The second patio in the back was for the service people. Even at this point there were six people who would live in a house of 70sqm.Fifteen rooms would eat in the same space in one communal kitchen and dining area. The architecture at the time did not allow for bathrooms throughout all the houses, rather there were latrines in one location that everybody used. They bathed in the rivers and they washed their clothes there. In 1920 was the first urban center called ‘Barro de las Cruses’. In 1940 was the first urbanization of the state called ‘Villa Maria’ and the ‘Banco Popular’; it was the first urban design with a horizontal property in ‘El Centro Nariño’.From there began the construction of individual houses. Evolution of architecture began. But, they always had trace in respect to Latin America. From this point the evolution was very fast. In 1913 ‘light’ and electricity was introduced into Colombia.Colombia is always behind. However, thus began driving roads and projects in the European form. It’s sad to say there was not a mode to keep the visual contamination from destroying the natural beauty and so many telephone lines and electricity lines were installed along the streets without regard to what could be seen. Light poles were misplaced in the middle of the sidewalks. This is a phenomenon that costs less and was more practical. In more than 100 years there is has not been a change in architecture since the ‘light’ arrived. However, materials and government regulations have changed some. The decentralization has created construction of apartments that are smaller causing families to be smaller changing the lifestyle since city planning is a business.Even with plenty of family roots and families divided, one’s space is still determined on how much one contributes to society and how involved they are with the community.

Since I was a little girl I saw how my father, as a university teacher, tried to help his students to become architects. Years later, I decided to be a teacher as a way to help society and people. Conscious teachers always guide their students to confront reality and find their own way to build their future. It is a duty assumed also by parents who find in some teachers an important support to help their children travel the best path to achieve a good and nice life.

I am teaching social studies in the same school where my son is studying. He is six years old. I know how the work of the teachers cab be. Some of them are excellent professionals, but some others, not so much. As teachers we are always learning beside the students, and as parents every day is a new challenge to give to your child the best you can. It´s not easy to let go of the control over your child, but they only learn new walks as you let their hand go. I am trying to help my students to understand the world, to guide them as part of a society we live in and their better roles to play. I ask them to build a new world where we can see each other as partners, and where the act of selfishness is not ideal when looking for the best path. I know it is not an easy job, but I believe that a good education has the power to change the world. The future is in the hand of teachers and their work with students. My son needs to understand that I am learning every day, that he is helping me to become a better mother and at the same time a better teacher. He is just a small kid learning to live but we are a good team. He doesn´t know that he is helping me to become a better person and teacher. As a mother, I want the best for my son, and I am trying my best. My classroom is just in front of my son´s classroom, so it is very difficult to avoid checking on him all the time. But the best moment during the day is when I look around and I suddenly see his eyes, his smile, reminding me the reason for my life. Every sacrifice means a better life for him, and that’s the best reason I have.
