(Jonathan Swift) “Order governs the world. The devil is the author of confusion.” (Bernard of Clairvaux) “The goodness of God knows how to use our disordered wishes and actions, often lovingly turning them to our advantage while always preserving the beauty of his order.” (A.W. Tozer) “God wants worshipers before workers; indeed the only acceptable workers are those who have learned the lost art of worship…. The very stones would praise him if the need arose and a thousand legions of angels would leap to do his will.”

Presider: Jason 'Jacko' Ju Preacher: Jim Jung CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 96:7-9 “Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!” SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Psalm 147:3, 5-6 “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” PRAYER OF ADORATION AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Heidelberg Catechism – Lord’s Day #23 – OF GOD THE HOLY GHOST 59. What does it help you now, that you believe all this? That I am righteous in Christ before God, and an heir of eternal life.[1] [1]Hab. 2:4; Rom. 1:17; Jn. 3:36; *Tit. 3:7; *Rom. 5:1; *Rom. 8:16. 60. How are you righteous before God? Only by true faith in Jesus Christ:[1] that is, although my conscience accuses me, that I have grievously sinned against all the commandments of God, and have never kept any of them,[2] and am still prone always to all evil;[3] yet God, without any merit of mine,[4] of mere grace,[5] grants and imputes to me the perfect satisfaction,[6] righteousness, and holiness of Christ,[7] as if I had never committed nor had any sins, and had myself accomplished all the obedience which Christ has fulfilled for me;[8] if only I accept such benefit with a believing heart.[9] [1]Rom. 3:21-25; Gal. 2:16; Eph. 2:8-9; Phil. 3:9. [2]Rom. 3:9-10. [3]Rom. 7:23. [4]Tit. 3:5. [5]Rom. 3:24; Eph. 2:8. [6]I Jn. 2:2. [7]I Jn. 2:1; Rom. 4:4-5; II Cor. 5:19. [8] [9]II Cor. 5:21. Jn. 3:18; *Rom. 3:28; *Rom. 10:10. 61. Why do you say that you are righteous by faith only? Not that I am acceptable to God on account of the worthiness of my faith, but because only the satisfaction, righteousness and holiness of Christ is my righteousness before God;[1] and I can receive the same and make it my own in no other way than by faith only.[2] [1] [2]I Cor. 1:30; 2:2. I Jn. 5:10. *Isa. 53:5; *Gal. 3:22; *Rom. 4:16. When they went into the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed, as the Lord commanded Moses. And he erected the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work. Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.” SERMON "Ordering Worship" – 1 Corinthians 14:26-40 God of Order When Worship Works He is Worship ANNOUNCEMENTS RESPONSIVE SONG Build My Life BENEDICTION “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (from Romans 15:12)

The Bible gives us an enduring principle of tithing of our gross income as the baseline for the Christian’s worship through giving (2 Cor 9:7; Malachi 3:8-10). If every church member gave 10%, we would have enough financial resources for all the gospel ministry God is calling our church to do. Let the Spirit guide you in all final matters. How does your longing testify of the goodness of God? According to the sermon, how can you convert your longings and frustrations into hope and faith in the Redeemer? What was the most helpful/challenging/encouraging part of the sermon for you? PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES THE HANS Joshua and Christina Han are back in Melbourne with their two sons. Please pray for them as they find rest, catch up with loved ones, prepare for ministry and mission work ahead, the uncertainty of timing of returning to their mission field due to COVID-19, and their team members that have remained in South Asia to help aid the affects of COVID-19 (for their health and safety). May God continue to spread the gospel and His word in spite of the challenges of the current situation. PRAYER FOCUS FOR OPPRESSED PEOPLES THROUGH IJM AFRICA & EUROPE Over the next month, we will be praying for the restoration of survivors of cybersex trafficking in the Philippines. After a rescue operation, although the children are out of immediate danger, the trauma runs deep. Unfortunately, there are more children needing care than there are government social workers. In some council areas, there is only one assigned social worker for every 10,000 victims of violence. IJM steps in to ensure these gaps are filled, by partnering with the local government. SOUTH ASIA Pray for God's protection and swift recovery for several of our teams recently affected by a massive cyclone. The storm arrived late last week and has severely disrupted power and damaged homes. Our staff are currently safe, but still cleaning up and waiting for public services to resume. Please pray for IJM as we try to reconnect with survivors across the affected area to ensure they are also safe and secure, and pray for government officials working to reach families in need.
1. Adoration Praise the Father for His attributes and actions 2. Confession Confess and acknowledge your sinfulness 3. Thanksgiving Thank Jesus for His salvation 4. Supplication Ask the Spirit to transform you
