(Oswald Chambers) “There is only one being who loves perfectly, and that is God, yet the N.T. distinctly states that we are to love as God does; so the first step is obvious. If ever we are going to have perfect love in out hearts we must have the very nature of God in us.” (Bonhoeffer) “Give me such love for God and men as will blot out all hatred and bitterness.” (Dinah Craik) “Life bears love’s cross; death brings love’s crown.”

Presider: David 'Daebii' Choi Preacher: Jim Jung CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 96:1-6 “Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.” SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Psalm 147:3, 5-6 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. The Lord lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.” PRAYER OF ADORATION AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Heidelberg Catechism – Lord’s Day #22 – OF GOD THE HOLY GHOST 57. The Bible gives us an enduring principle of tithing of our gross income as the baseline for the Christian’s worship through giving (2 Cor 9:7; Malachi 3:8-10). If every church member gave 10%, we would have enough financial resources for all the gospel ministry God is calling our church to do. Let the Spirit guide you in all final matters. What do you want “fixed”, or to have? How does your longing testify of the goodness of God? According to the sermon, how can you convert your longings and frustrations into hope and faith in the Redeemer? What was the most helpful/challenging/ encouraging part of the sermon for you? PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES THE HANS Joshua and Christina Han are back in Melbourne with their two sons. Please pray for them as they find rest, catch up with loved ones, prepare for ministry and mission work ahead, the uncertainty of timing of returning to their mission field due to COVID-19, and their team members that have remained in South Asia to help aid the affects of COVID-19 (for their health and safety). May God continue to spread the gospel and His word in spite of the challenges of the current situation. PRAYER FOCUS FOR OPPRESSED PEOPLES THROUGH IJM LATIN AMERICA Pray for the millions of women and children in Central America suffering sexual and physical abuse due to the increase of violence resulting from lockdowns to contain COVID-19. As calls to helplines significantly increase due to domestic and sexual abuse through the region, pray for courage for victims to break the silence. Also pray for quick response from local authorities to protect them and for our team's safety as we continue to support local authorities during this pandemic. AUSTRALIA & IJM HQ Continue to pray with us as work begins soon to build out the major technology project that will redesign the IT systems we use to handle the data from our Field Offices. Being able to report on how our work impacts local communities and also have insight on the global problem of slavery is critical to helping us scale our solution to end slavery and violence against those who are poor. We are grateful the Lord has equipped us with team members who are using their talents and specialities to serve the mission in this unique way.
1. Adoration Praise the Father for His attributes and actions 2. Confession Confess and acknowledge your sinfulness 3. Thanksgiving Thank Jesus for His salvation 4. Supplication Ask the Spirit to transform you
