Eligibility for School Activities
The AMS Food Drive runs from November 27 - December 21.
Advisories will be collecting the following items between the AMS Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks: Canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, canned meat, and peanut butter. Please help support our school district food pantry with a food or monetary donation.
Advanced Notice of Absence
With the winter sports season beginning and other after school activities and performances on the horizon, please be advised: To be eligible to participate in, or attend any after school activities/performances, you must be in school that day by 9:45 am. Likewise, if you leave school before 12:35 pm, you must return before dismissal. This policy is in effect regardless of your reason for absence; excused or unexcused.
In the event a child will miss an entire day or days of school for planned events, written notification is required. The child will receive an advanced notice of absence form to share with his/her teachers. This form allows for notification of absence as well as an opportunity to acquire assignments.

Congratulations to the AMS 7th and 8th Grade Chorus for a great concert on November 25! They performed their Fall-Into-Winter Concert, a selection of general and winter-themed songs in a variety of styles and languages. Their energy and musicality were awesome! Thanks to all who have supported us this semester. Later in December, the chorus will also have the opportunity to sing with the AHS Symphonic Choir when they come to perform at AMS on their tour!
The AMS Winter Band concert will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 7:00 pm in the AMS auditorium. All 7th and 8th grade band students are required to attend. Students will need to report to the band room at 6:30 pm. Student dress for the concert is a white dressy top, black pants or long black skirt, black socks and black shoes.
