First graders have been doing an author study of Jan Brett. They had a great time exploring and reading her detailed fiction books. Students compared and contrasted the stories of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Mermaid, and The Three Snow Bears. These friends from Mrs. Brieske’s class are holding some of their favorite Jan Brett books.

5th graders in Mrs. Budd's class are excited to work in collaborative groups. They are working on multiplying decimals.
Fifth graders created a life size model of a cubic meter. This allowed our learners to visualize when we would use cubic meters to measure.
Sixth graders finished up their "castle creations." This fun Kermit- inspired throne showcased concepts of surface area, volume, & vocabulary related to measuring geometric solids.
Second graders were reading chapter books and using sticky notes to identify characters, setting, and problem of the story.
Third grade learners celebrated their work of creating comic strips as way to showcase their learning about main ideas in a nonfiction text.
