Is a book with no words even a book?
WHY READING MATTERS
This is an essay about why reading matters and how cool it is.
Reading matters because it makes you learn new words and expands your vocabulary. If you read Fancy Nancy books you can even learn French.
You need to know how to read to do EVERYTHING! You need to know how to read numbers in math and you need to know how to read to write. Reading can entertain you like in books such as Pig the Pug or Mustache Baby.
Books can inform you, too. These books can teach you cool things about animals or places. Writing can also persuade you, like on posters that encourage or make you want to do something. You can learn and study from books. You can earn prizes from reading, like in Class Competitions, where you do a fun activity with some thing about reading and you and your class can win prizes.
You can have fun in your book and might even think that your book is real. When I am reading Harry Potter, I think that I am one of the characters, and I tell my family about what happened. When some thing exiting in my book happens, I feel sad or exited about it. Keep reading and make sure you have a good book!

Someone once asked me, “Can a book with no words still be called a book? Is Journey a book?” In my opinion, yes! It can be called a book because it still has a setting and characters and a plot. Let me put it this way: is a 3 legged dog still a dog? Do you know the saying “sometimes pictures are better than words?” I think that’s a great point. Think about the book Journey even though it doesn’t have words you can see what’s going on. First, she finds this crayon and she draws on the wall. But then the real story comes out to the open, because the drawing on the wall turned into a door! So, then she went through the door and arrived to these woods and then she walked more and she’s at this river. She pulls out her marker and draws a boat and gets in it, then she sails down the river. Next, she arrives at a sky castle. I’m not going to tell you the rest so I don’t spoil the story, but do you get my point?
A book without words is still a book. Also, a picture book is a great example because sometimes picture books aren’t just kiddie books. Actually read a picture book once in a while because it can do a lot for your reading. It will open up your reading to when you are reading chapter books you can really see the story coming to life in your mind. It’s because when I was in third grade, I hated chapter books. Then I just read picture books until I was in fifth grade. Now I love chapter books because all that time I was reading all those picture books my imagination was growing. So, then when I read my first chapter book I loved it. I could picture everything from the story like the characters and what they were doing and everything. So ya now I love chapter books by just reading a couple of picture books every once in a while. You should read picture books. Also, you should submit your art even when you don’t think it’s good. It’s always good, so submit your art to The Wrangler because it is wonderful.

You may know about cowboys and cattle drives, but what you may not know is that a long time ago, it wasn’t just cowboys and cattle that had to cross the great plains of America. Before there were railroads, highways, or airplanes, people still had to get their goods to markets all over the United States. This is when the great turkey walks were born. People actually walked big groups or flocks of turkeys to the stores and markets where they were to be sold.
The Great Turkey Walk is a great book written by Kathleen Karr and was inspired by these incredible journeys that happened in the nineteen hundreds. This book follows the story of a young fifteen-year old boy named Simon Green. Now Simon isn’t the brightest boy in school but he hatches a plan that could earn him a fortune. He plans to walk one thousand turkeys almost one thousand miles to Denver from his home state of Missouri. He convinces his third grade teacher, Miss Rogers, to fund his trip and takes along his dog, Emmett, four mules: Sparky, Snowball, Brown Boy, and Rocky, and Mr. Bidwell Peece, a drover, to help him drive the turkeys west.
As they head towards Denver, Simon and Mr. Peeece make some friends and some enemies along the way. They walk through crazy weather and see some beautiful scenery all the while making sure not to loose any feather-brained turkeys.
This is a hilarious story of what happens when you try to walk a thousand turkeys across the continental U.S. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

A month ago there was a group of people that went to inspect a old town. One night they heard a sound it was the oddest noise but not everyone heard it, only the people that didn’t believe in ghost heard it. So they said to the others, “what was that”? One person said, “what.” He believed in ghost story’s so he didn’t hear the noise. Then someone had screamed that everyone heard they went to see what it was.
They looked below them they all screamed in fear for what they had seen was done’s but not just any bone’s human bones. That still had skin on them so that meant what ever killed him or her is probably still in the town. But they noticed how it had a head light, like them self’s.
To be continued . . .

The Third Story Bedroom
Once upon a time, a boy name Steve lived on Strange Northwest Drive with his twin sister, Jackie. One day, Steve was on his scooter and he saw the old abandoned house. This was something very unusual about the house this day, the window was open. This was no normal house. There was legend that there was a monster, that was so undescribable, it was covered in slime and goo. He would grab some of his goo, cover someone with and take their soul. One night, at 12:00am, Friday the 13th, Steve and his sister, Jackie, went to the scary house. The weirdest thing happened, there was slime all over the place and it led to the third story bedroom. Steve saw someone had left the window open. Then he said to his sister, "Look up!" They both screamed so loud that it could break your eardrums. They saw people covered with the gooey green and yellow slime. They bolted and ran for there lives. Running so fast, a cheetah couldn't catch them. Steve fell on the cold, hard ground and the hairy monster with a horrible face was breathing down hot, stinky breath down Steve’s neck dripping slime......

No, No Homework
Through my point of view, fourth graders should not have homework besides reading. Why do I think this? Well, for instance, it wastes time for students. You can just fit it into the seven hours of school you have during the day when you study, and that's my second reason for no homework. Seven hours is an hour over a quarter of the day! Also, homework isn't joyful and satisfying at all. To add it all up, I hate homework pretty badly.
Homework wastes plenty of time for kids. You always would rather do other things. It's very unnecessary, too. Plus, it also wastes plenty of paper. That is way bad for the environment and animals. Help preserve trees by doing none or less homework. Yeah, you heard me. So, homework is a great time waster for children and is a life waster for trees. Take that homework!
Also, you're at school all day. A school day is seven hours long. Seven hours is over a quarter of a full day. Of course, that is long enough! Seven hours of school is no fun and exhausting. School is enough for me. How about you? It's probably yes. By all means, I don't need or want more work time cut into my youthful life's free time.
Another thing, homework is not fun. It is so tedious and uninteresting. You always have other stuff to do that can be more amusing. Plus, it can give you stress which can lead to anxiety. That's not good at all. This is why homework is not satisfying for me.
I loathe homework so much. Here are some reasons for my antagonism. Homework wastes time for you. Additionally, you're already at school all day. And homework is just not fun. That's why I resent homework papers. I hope you do too.
--Finn Malan, Mrs. Castro
Should 4th Graders Have Homework?
Yes, Kids Should Have Homework
In my opinion, forth graders should have homework including unfinished things in school. If, you don't understand something your parents can tell you some ways to understand what you don't understand. Plus it doesn't take that long to figure out all of those problems that you have on one page and a lot of the problems are really hard but there's not that many or there's a lot of easy problems on one page! Getting homework is also extra practice so your head can fill and memorize different things. Lastly, reading should not be the only homework forth graders.
Parents can help you understand something you don't understand. They can tell you about some of their strategies because they might have some other strategies and maybe they have some that you like more than others. They can help you figure out stuff you can't. You can tell your parents some of your strategies. Your mother and your father help you understand some things that you cannot understand.
Homework doesn't take that long if you think about it. If it's easy homework, then can fly in right through it. Hard homework is easy because we all are smart and we can do it and we are all kids who know everything that we should know in forth grade. Sometimes homework is a fun thing. It can be a thing to in joy. All in all, homework doesn't take that much time to figure out and solve.
Doing homework is a chance for practice. Besides your teacher can see how you are really doing and if you’re doing really good great, and if you’re not doing as great keep on practicing. You also get smarter and your brains fill And I like to do homework. You get extra practice doing homework and you get smarter by focusing.
In my opinion, homework should be assigned to fourth graders. Parents can help in many ways. Homework doesn't take long. Your brain can get practice and you will get smarter. Should homework get to forth graders? Yes, yes, and yes, I do think that homework should be assigned to fourth graders.

It all started at Mr. Douglas's house he had just laid in bed it was really hot that night so he opened his bedroom window he laid back in bed and heard a noise outside it sounded like footsteps then he saw the outline of a figure that came through the window kicked him and drug him out of the house very violently Mr. Douglas was never seen again Almost 20 years later John and his mother moved into the Douglas house. They had been living there for 4 months now but strange things had been happening; strange noises from the attic, things being put in different places. John was in bed one night when he heard a loud booming knock. John swiftly went to open it and he instantly saw a misty white figure john had seen the figure before it was Mr. Douglas john had seen him in a picture with his wife and read a news article about how Mrs. Douglas had vanished he was holding something it looked like a book then the figure turned saw john and vanished. John bolted up to his mothers room when he arrived panting he flung his mothers door open and found her tied to her chair he untied her and they sprinted to there car but there car was not there it was driving down the road they saw a different figure except this one was a small dark green one that was about the size of a car tire it was racing towards them they ran not looking back into the shadowy moonlit woods with the that small green thing still chasing them no one has seen or heard from john and his mother since. the old Douglas house still stands. yesterday there was a dark black smoke rushing out the chimney and a very odd foreign whisper could be heard.

It all started when someone left the window open...It was just a regular Wednesday morning and it was time for school. I trudged up the stairs, my eyes barely open, to wake my big brother, Jim. It was his turn to drive me to school that day. But when I shoved opened his door, I immediately noticed how cold it was in the room. It was like living in a igloo. The room was so messy I was tripping over all the really smelly clothes. looked up after falling and saw that the window was wide OPEN...I bulleted down the stars so fast it was like running like I was being chased by a tiger, and I started yelling for my mom "MOM, MOM WHERE ARE YOU! That is when I realized..."I AM HERE ALL BY MY SELF."

One Friday, a the very special Friday the 13th, a toy was made. "Cutter it's your birthday come down for presents," Mom said "And close your window." Yes it's my birthday I'm going to get the toy that just got made today. I sprinted so fast it felt like my socks were on fire down all three stories. The present was so big as tall as my waist with striped wrapping with green and blue and I ripped it open. "Mom, that is a creepy doll, too creepy," It's beady eyes soon moved towards me.The minute later my head told me to start the fire and throw it in, and I did. My hart felt better but not for long. My window was open but I closed it before bed and my burnt doll was laying in my bed. She opened her eyes and turned her head towards me. I felt my hair rising, it was blood curling and the house was really quiet. "Mom, Dad, it's Cutter, Tag, Mckardy, anyone!" I found Mom and Dad in open coffins in their room. Bags over their mouths."No" but wait they were moving. I lifted them up but those were not them the real Mom and Dad were under the water that was holding my fake parents I felt so much relief so I checked their pulses and they were not still alive, but dead. This was getting bad, really bad then I heard a super high pitched noise. I immediately ran to it it was the loud toaster with my sister's and brother's necklaces that they swore not to ever take of even if they are going to die so I sadly knew that they did so I found them in the bathroom dead in the scary creaking attic in a big box with letters in dark red blood "you will be next" If I knew anything it was that this was very scary and my brain knew a lot of things especially fear. Fear was the one thing disgraced. Sadness, loneliness, and scared were all just feelings, but fear was different, it was a fact. Right now I felt fear I was not afraid I was gruesomely fearful. On the bright side literally a bright side there was the doll. I plucked up all my courage got a ax and chopped it’s head of then it chopped mine.

It all began when I left the window open. It was March 13, Friday, 3am at my grandma's house. My grandma let me sleep in the bedroom upstairs next to her room. I had a walk-in closet and a little desk with a lamp on it. Usually, at my house I turn on the lamp because I get a little scared. So I turned the switch to the lamp, but nothing happened. I went to my grandma's room and asked her why the lamp was not turning on. She followed me back to my room to try the lamp. She switched the switch and it turned on! I was confused. I told her "but when I turned it on it did not do anything. She replied with "it was probably just a dream". Today was Friday the 13th, it is my least favorite day because I get scared easily and all the kids at school talk about scary stuff. I heard one kid scream, "NEVER LEAVE YOUR WINDOW OPEN ON FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH". I don't know if I believed him but just in case before I went to bed I checked the windows and they were all closed. But then I noticed I forgot one window.. GRANDMA'S.... I bolted to her room and yelled "GRANDMA CLOSE YOUR WINDOW!" She was very confused and I yelled again "CLOSE YOUR WINDOW!" She told me that it was fine she likes her window open because it is nice and cold in her room. Then she told me to go back to sleep so I did but I couldn't stop thinking of that open window. It was 4am now. I started to fall asleep but then I he a noise next to my room it sounded like it was in grandmas room but it was probably just nothing. Then I finally got a good amount of sleep and it was 6:30 when my alarm went of and i had to go home so i can go to school so I went to grandmas room and she was gone maybe she went on a walk so I got myself some breakfast but it was 8:00 and i was late. Then I herd my grandmas house phone ring and I answered it then I said hello and i herd nothing so I said it again I was just about to hang up but then I herd a soft voice in the phone "your next". I freaked out and then I questioned my self dose that mean whoever was on the phone took grandma. I freaked out even more because grandma was gone and the person on the phone said "your next" so dose that mean that that persons is taking me next. I screamed "I cant walk home my house is like 50 miles away and I don't know my moms phone number wait a second my mom knows my grandmas house phone number I guess I will just try to calm down. It has been like about an hour now and I haven't herd any... "phone rings" yes i hope its my mom. I answered the phone and I herd a soft voice saying "look outside" it didn't sound like my mom so I got scared I didn't know if I should look outside but I'm kind of curios to see what it is so I walk up the stairs slowly to my room and looked throw the window it was kind of hard to see but it looked like a man covered in black and it was looking at me it was looking at me for like 30 second and then I saw him sprint at the front door so I bolted down the stairs and called 911 then I didn't here the police instead I herd this soft voice again saying "I am coming in" I screamed in the phone "STOP" I dropped the phone and ran upstairs as fast as i could and shut my bedroom and locked it I herd footsteps coming up the stairs and I ran to the end of the room and the door opened on its own and i saw that black man then he ran to me and all i saw was black just black...

The One and Only Darwin
I miss my home so much! There are very scary things here in this new land. It is awful living here in the new land, New York. I loved Russia, but they send me here. Why, I do not know. I wish I had parents, and so does my friend Annie Jackson. My name is Alexandra Liver and me and Annie are orphans. I wish I never lived in the year 1860. I would much rather be 20 right now instead of 12. This is my story of this horrible life I live.
On the day I came to New York City I know I would hate this new land forever. I hated the orphanage that they put all of the orphans. So Annie and I ran away forever. We will never go back even if we starve. Annie keeps bumping into things. I wish we could buy her glasses, but we do not have the money. We have to live in the in the alleys. One of the boys at the orphanage ran away with Annie and me. He is really nice, his name is Darwin. I hope I will see him again! He is a one of a kind boy.
When Annie and me were going to bed on the hard dirt ground, I hear a sound. So I woke up Annie and we went to investigate the noise. It sounded like a person that was trying to scary me and Annie. We saw who was making the sound, it was Darwin! I laughed and trying hug him. But then I saw how pale his face was. I asked if he was ok. He did not speak, but the person behind him did. That person was an weird Indian, he said his name was Hard Face. And then I realized that Darwin was a ghost. Hard Face told me that Darwin got ran over by a wagon. And that we pushed Darwin into the road so then he would get run over. They said that they would hunt us down and then kill us. And then they both disappeared.
Then the next day I woke up in the morning and it was pitch black. I grabbed my only flash light and turned it on. And then I saw Darwin standing 4 inches away from me with a, I think a sword. I scream and put my face in the dirt and waited for him to go away. And then I felt pain in my back. And then I heard the scream of Annie. I looked up and saw that Hard Face’s arm was on the ground! I screamed again. Then when I looked a again I saw Annie gasping at my back. We bandaged up my back and left the spot we had always stayed. We decided to find a different place to live.
When I went shopping for some food I saw Darwin's face everywhere I looked! I got so dizzy that I fell down and fainted. And when I woke up I was in a graveyard! I saw Hard Face talking to a grave. I thought I would never see something this silly. When he looked up he saw me awake and he said well well you thought you would get away from me. I was so scared! Fog was coming in the graveyard and I could not see Hard Face anymore. I stood up and tried to find the exit but everything was the same. I realized that I was chained up. I screamed for help. But then I felt hands on my shoulders and a finger covered up my mouth. I saw blood on my dress. I looked down and saw that I had big long scratches on my arms! I then saw a big dog standing on his hind legs. He was 6 feet tall, he had long claws, and he had big fangs. I fainted again.
And when I woke up I was by the exit of the graveyard. I ran out and found myself in an alley where Annie and I had slept in. I fell to the ground and saw that my dress was torn and that I had deep scratches every where. I was losing lots of blood. I wrapped up all of the scratches with the remains of my dress. I crawled to where Annie was and she screamed. I told Annie I was fine. She wrapped me up more in bandages, and then I felt much better and I fell asleep.
I now will dedicate my life to killing Hard Face. The next day I see two people walking toward me. I think it is Hard Face and Darwin, so I ran away. But when I stopped running Annie was not with me! I look everywhere for Annie but I can not find her. So I thought that Hard Face and Darwin got her. But then I see Annie's dead body on the road! I cry for hours. But sense she died Hard Face and Darwin to not have to come after me to find a body. I find a note stuck in Annie's pocket that says:
I did this for you. Please forgive me for killing myself. I hope you will find a good friend later on in life. I will miss you so much. I wanted to stay on ground but I did not want you to hurt yourself for you and me. I was the one that killed Darwin on the road. Please forgive me. I did not like Darwin.
Your best friend Annie Jackson
I was so sad, but my friend was the best friend I had ever had. I knew why she killed Darwin. He was bossy and he did not like Annie, and he made her wear her worst clothes everywhere so that people thought that Annie was his servant. But sadly now that Annie died Darwin would not try to kill me anymore. Later when I was 20, I went back to Russia and I found my family. I also found out that my family was royal because I was the princess cousin. I missed Annie dearly but I found more friends later on. This was part of my life.

I love Midway Elementary School. There are so many reasons why it is great. These are a few of the best reasons why I love it: the people, the principal, and the celebrations. I will tell you about them in my essay.
The first thing I love is the people here. At Midway the people are so nice. The faculty are really helpful. Plus they are hard working people. This is why the people are great.
Midway has, of course, the best principal. Mr. Thorne is very appreciative of the people that work here and the students that go here. He is kind to everyone he sees. Mr. Thorne is especially friendly. He always says hi and gives out Cowboy Cash. These reasons are why he is the best principal.
Midway has especially amazing celebrations. The reading carnival is really fun because you get tickets that you can buy toys, snacks, and books with. Plus, you get to play games there. We also have lots of fun brand parties where you get to book chat and have popcorn parties. Every year the class that are really good get to go to the head wrangler assembled. These celebrations are why I love going to school at Midway.
This is why I love Midway Elementary School. Because of the people, the celebrations and the best principal.

I love to live in the little town called Midway. It is a very fun little town and there is a lot of good places to go. Like there is amazing Swiss Cookies or pizza places. Just think and they might just have it. The beauty is so beautiful. It is very modern place. The people are so sweet and thoughtful for others.
There are so many different places to go to. Like where I go to school, Midway Elementary School. That is a very great school. I love our principal is so happy and very nice to everyone one. I love to live in this place. They also have great restaurants and food. Like The Mercantile restaurant is amazing. What great meals they have. I suggest you going there sometime soon. I love how cozy the homes are. So beautiful and unique they can be. Those are some of my favorite places you should maybe go sometime?
I love how pretty Midway is. Like fall time, he leaves are so colorful. Fall is my favorite season of the year. Especially I like how it isn't so so crowded. You could go to a fast food place, and it won't be so busy. Where I used to live it was crowded everywhere you go! I also love the style here. It is a very unique little town. Those are some things I like about my town.
The people are so nice and thoughtful for others. When we moved in everybody was so generous and sweet to my family. They brought us welcome into the neighborhood treats. Our neighborhood has so much gratitude for all and anybody who moves in. When somebody is feeling down we give them a compliment to boost their courage, feeling about themselves, and to feel welcomed. I think that my people where I live are very kind.
I love my town so far. The people are sweet and cool. I love that there are so many amazing places to go. The houses look nice and cozy. The beauty is so crazy, unique, and fun. I think I am pretty lucky to get to live in this beautiful little town.

It all began on Friday the 13th. It was dark and foggy and the moon was full and glowing. A 10 year old kid in 5th grade named Jack was in his room sleeping. Jack had short blond hair as bright as the sun, and he had yellow eyes like his mom. It was 12:00 at night. His favorite thing ever was Christmas time. It was December and he was so excited for Christmas. But someone had left the window open! All of the sudden a weird creature came into his room that didn't belong there. The creature had a big mouth with sharp teeth and blood on it. And 2 big glowing balls for the eyes. Jack was in his bed having dreams about him getting everything he wanted for Christmas when he said under his breath, is he the one? He woke up alarmed and started screaming and then something from the ceiling with long slimy arms broke the ceiling and grabbed him and pulled him up. And then everything went dead silent. He went missing.
14 years ago a 34 year old women named Cami met a man that was 38 years old named Jami. They started dating. 3 years later, they got married. They were the happiest family in the neighborhood. Then 1 year later, they had 2 kids. They were twins. Only 13 seconds apart. They both loved to play soccer and joined a soccer league. But then when the twins were 4 years old, they were in a car driving to there grandparents house, when a deer ran across the road. The dad tried to stop the car before they hit the deer, but it was too late. They crashed. But for the 4 year old twins, everything was in slow motion. They both saw a red glowing light and got blasted. When that happened, they got special abilities from the blast. Jack's twin's name is Jackson. They both got the ability to shoot red balls out of there hands. Jackson also had the ability to find things super well. And Jack's second power is to move things with his hands.
After the car crash they went back home. As they got older, they were still learning how to control their powers. When Jack and Jackson were still 4, they told there grandfather about there abilities. His grandfather believed them. In fact, his grandfather had powers too! He had lots of books about there ancestors and how to control the powers. One book taut them how to train and make their powers stronger. The book said you have to find 4 special rocks every 4 months. Once you find one, your powers get stronger. Jack and Jackson kept learning and learning. One time Jackson found a cool lightning stone. It was red. And it had weird swirly lines. Jack found one just like it. It made there powers really powerful.
3 years later, they were 7 years old. They were outside playing in the park when all the sudden, WOOSH! A black figure had tried to grab them. The black figure was towering over them. The creature had a green mouth stitched up. The mouth was so bright, it hurt Jackson and Jack's eyes. The monster's eyes were gone. There was blood all over the monsters face. They looked behind them and started screaming at the top of their lungs. They saw 4 more black figures just like the first one creeping toured them. Then, there was a big green hole with black lightning around it floating in the air. They got picked up by the hole. They tried to get out but the hole was too powerful. They fell into the hole. After, they woke up and everything around them had vanished! There were no houses, no playground, or any people. Jackson tried to use his power to find everything that was gone but it didn't work. They were in a different dimension. The place was grey and not happy. Then Jackson asked Jack, “Why won't my powers work?” And where are we! Jack told him that they should think back and try to remember one of their grandfather's books from when they were 4. They thought back and remembered one of the books. It was about scary creatures and different dimensions. Their grandfather didn't let them read it until they were 6 years old. It was because it was too scary for them. Then Jack said, “I remember. It was when we were 6. When we got older and read it, it said that there was a dimension where evil scary monsters came from. It told us about the monsters that came from the place. There was a picture in the book that were like the things that we just saw. The book said that the monster could shape shift into anything in the universe.” There was only 1 thing where you could tell if it is a monster when it is in a different form. If you look at the back of there neck, there is a black dot. Jack told Jackson not to trust anybody besides each other. “Uh oh!” Jack said. I think they are mad. Just then a lightning storm started. The lightning was red and Jack could barely make out a image of a man made out of lightning.

This is a fantastic book. I think everyone should read it. IT is the fifth book in the Spy School series, and maybe the best one. Ben Ripley is a to-be-spy in the CIA. He is on a mission to save the president. I recommend this book because it is just amazing. The book genre is realistic fiction.

I like Not Quite Narwhal because Kelp the Unicorn thought that he was a narwhal. At night, he discovered a unicorn. After that, he swam to land. Why I like this book is because the narwhals and the unicorns had a party.

My book report is on The Last Kids On Earth series. This is a six book series. The sixth book is not part of the story but it sounds cool. I have read four books and am reading the fifth. From the first book I was hooked! It is about four kids who survive an apocalypse and they meet a few good friends along the way. To find out who, you have to read the book. They also meet a lot of enemies! It is an amazing book and there isn't a dull moment in the book. The kids are always having fun or fighting bad guys or riding their super sweet vehicles like the Big Mama. If you liked the Last Kids On Earth movie, then you will love the books. The first book is way better than the movie! I promise, even if you don’t like reading, you will love this series. This is my book report on the awesome series The Last Kids On Earth.

I love the book Mandy. It is about a 10 year old girl who lives in an orphanage. There is a wall and Mandy decides to climb over it. She discovers a tiny, deserted cottage. Mandy worked on it so she could live in it by herself. One day she got sick and nobody could find her. But she didn't realize that somebody had been watching over her that whole time. You're going to have to read the book to find out who that special person is.
I really like this book because she's kind, smart, and brave. I love how the author describes things. And I love how Mandy borrowed things from the orphanage and learned how to garden. You should read this book. It's really good!

The Rose Legacy
I think that The Rose Legacy is a great book. When an orphan Anthea Thornley goes to stay with her uncle beyond Kalabars Wall she realizes that her mother is still alive! Later in the book she notices that she used to live on the farm and her stallion is still there! But everyone beyond the wall still thinks that horses caused the plague. Anthea tries to find a way to get everyone to believe that horses didn't cause the plague. Read this book to find out if she completes her quest to get everyone to believe that horses didn't cause the plague.
