Hello Boise High Families: I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the nice weather. Although we have completed the 2019-2020 school year, I wanted to take one last opportunity to wish everyone well and pass along my heartfelt appreciation. Thank you for helping keep our community connected during the uncertain times of the COVID 19 pandemic. Thank you for your understanding while we have learned to navigate all things Boise High under unique circumstances. Thank you to all our graduates and families who participated in our Turn the Tassel Celebration two weeks ago. Our faculty, staff and parent board had a wonderful time celebrating the accomplishments of the graduating class of 2020! We wish all of our graduating seniors the very best as they move on to their next chapter. The Faculty and Staff are working hard to reflect, learn and plan in preparation for the 2020-2021 school year. As educators we commit ourselves to this annual cycle of preparation, emotion, and the joy of watching our students learn, grow, flourish and eventually leave. Each year brings great excitement, the comfort of routine, and the realization that there is a distinct beginning and a definitive end. The cycle was certainly different this year, as is our planning for next school year. As we take the appropriate time to wish our seniors well as they head off to their next adventure, we are welcoming incoming sophomores. In addition, as we say good-bye to colleagues who distinguished careers at Boise High draw to a close, we meet new colleagues who are excited to have the privilege and opportunity for a career at Boise High. We honor the following Boise High Staff

members who are embarking on a different phase in life; Dr. Carol Scholz (Teacher of the Visually Impaired), Cathy Brown (Social Studies Teacher), and Paula Crowther (Library Assistant) who are all retiring after many years serving the students of Boise High. Additionally, we bid farewell to Melinda Schulz (Debate Teacher) who is moving into a new phase of her professional career. You will all be missed! I would like to encourage all of you to keep an eye out for email, announcements and communication from the Boise School District and Boise High regarding next school year. As we learn more as to how things will look and what will be implemented in terms of guidelines, we will be communicating with students, parents and faculty. On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I would like to thank our Brave Parent Board and the members of the Booster Organization who have provided tremendous support throughout the year, including the many wonderful teacher appreciation lunches. And to all of the parents and families who do so much for the students and staff of Boise High; thank you as well. As I draw near the close of my fifth year as principal of this incredibly special place, I swell with pride and realize just how fortunate I am to be one small part of the educational experience of so many exceptional people. It is with an incredible sense of gratitude that I thank this years' senior class. I am humbled by how much I have learned from each and every one of these fine young people, and I will miss them dearly. The resilience, strength, and leadership of this graduating class is incredible. I have great faith that our future is safe. Wishing for you all to stay safe and healthy as I look forward to seeing you soon. Every day is great day to be The Brave... Respectfully,
WE ARE...

" this is a quote in your sidebar"
"We are a part of a community that fosters the distinctive attributes that come with being a high school student. Additionally, among the many individual backgrounds and personalities at Boise High, we all share defining characteristics that encompass who we are as a student body. We are all students. We are friends. We are individuals. We are not the same in every aspect that represents what it means to be BRAVE, but each of our respective traits are what make us who we are. We are athletes. We are musicians. We are leaders. Some of these things will never change, no matter who we become or where life takes us. We are committed to excellence. We are Boise. We are Brave. And we couldn't be prouder. " ~BH Yearbook Committee 2018/2019
