Amelia Dobbratz (class of 2020) works on her oil painting for Advanced Placement Studio Art. Students in this class are creating an art portfolio showcasing their talent. The portfolio will be used for college scholarships and art competitions throughout the state of Wisconsin.
This week the first grade students went on a field trip to The Little Farmer in Fond du Lac. The students enjoyed a hayride, apple picking, learning about apples and about bees. The students were able to choose a pumpkin and pick an apple off the tree and eat it! The first grade students learned about the process of how bees make honey. It was a great field trip with fun had by all!

This week at Rock River, the Waupun fire department came to talk with 2nd and 3rd grade students about fire prevention. Students had the opportunity to tour some of the fire trucks. It was an enjoyable learning experience for all!

SAGES' fifth and sixth grade learners, accompanied by Mrs. Adams, Mr. McKean, Mr. Jenswold, and Mrs. Hicken, participated in an overnight camping experience at Marsh Haven Nature Center. Students rotated among various learning stations, including cooking lunch and dishes duty, plus campfire songs and hikes!

The Waupun Area School District Board of Education is looking to create an Ad-Hoc Committee to investigate and review the district's plans regarding the safety of students, our staff, and the community.
It is anticipated that this group will meet one to two days a month after school for the 19-20 school year. (Dates and time commitment will be discussed with the group - anticipated 4-5 pm.
